What did I just watch.

So beautiful. So sad. I was depressed for a few days after watching this.

I don’t even know where to start. My Mister is a Korean drama about two broken people — a middle-aged man carrying the weight of everyone around him, and a young woman who has nothing left to lose. That sounds simple. It’s not.

A quiet alley at night

The writing is incredible. Every character feels real. Nobody is a villain. Everyone is just trying to survive their own life, and sometimes that means hurting the people closest to you. That’s it. That’s the whole show.

Split manga panels

The two leads don’t have some dramatic romance. It’s deeper than that. It’s two people who see each other clearly for the first time — who recognize the exhaustion in each other’s eyes. And that recognition becomes the thing that keeps them going.

A melancholic portrait

I’ve watched a lot of shows. Very few have hit me like this one. There’s a heaviness that sits with you after the credits roll. Not because it’s tragic — it’s not trying to be manipulative. It’s honest. And that’s worse.

A lonely night scene

The soundtrack doesn’t help either. It’s understated, quiet, and perfectly placed. You’ll hear one of those piano tracks days later and feel it in your chest.

Subway melancholy

If you watch one Korean drama in your life, make it this one. Not because it’s flashy or trendy. Because it’s real. Because it’ll stay with you.

I’m still not over it.
